M2 0.6.3
August 20, 2026 · Build 2041
What changed
- Voice message playback stability. Chat and Files now share one playback coordinator, preventing duplicate playback.
- Compact Files audio player. Voice-message controls use a coherent content-sized sheet.
- Correct camera photo orientation. Camera JPEG orientation is applied to pixels before encrypted import, while location and camera metadata are removed.
- Release identity preserved. The Android package and production signing certificate are unchanged.
Important notices
2026-08-20M2 0.6.3 for AndroidCurrent
Voice messages now play consistently, the Files audio player is compact, camera photos keep the correct orientation, and the update screen follows the device language.
The release preserves the established Android package and signing certificate. A previous update failure is no longer shown as a new-session error before the user retries. Signed arm64 and universal APKs, checksums, SBOM, provenance, source archive, third-party notices, and update-compatibility evidence are available from the immutable M2 release service.
2026-08-20Current verification scopeInformation
Automated, emulator, artifact, signer, release-service, and update-path checks are available; an independent third-party security audit and physical-device verification are not recorded as complete.
M2 publishes the status of verification work so technical evaluators can distinguish implemented controls from independent assurance. These open items do not change the cryptographic identity of the current signed release.
How updates work
M2 checks the trusted manifest served by the dedicated release Worker. Immutable files are uploaded and publicly verified first; the latest manifest is changed last. Website-only changes do not create an Android update.
Previous public release
M2 0.6.1 (2039)
The exact signed predecessor was used to verify update compatibility and the mandatory update path to M2 0.6.3.
